THE PROCESS OF GETTING A WORK PERMIT TO WORK AT MEDICAL CANNABIS DISPENSARIES
Getting a work permit is necessary for employment by a licensed medical cannabis establishment. To apply, you can not have had a felony record.
STEP 1
Visit the MS Department of Health Website for information regarding the Mississippi Medical Cannabis Program
STEP 2
Download the Work Permit Affidavit and fill it out before a Notary Public. They will also need to officially notarize the document.
STEP 3
Visit the MS Department of Health Fingerprinting Unit in person at

Visit a police station and record your fingerprints digitally.

STEP 4
If you completed your fingerprints physically, you will scan a copy to keep. You will mail the physical fingerprint card to the MS Health Department at

STEP 4 ALTERNATIVE
If you completed your fingerprints at a police station digitally, they will print these out for you. You can mail one to the MS Department of Health at the same above address listed. Or you can deliver them in-person to the same address.
STEP 5
On the MS Department of Health's portal, you will upload scanned copies of the work permit affidavit, a picture of yourself taken within the last 6 months, a proof of residency (lease, car registration, utilities, etc.), a scanned copy of your Mississippi license, and a separate document listing when you delivered in person or mailed off your fingerprints to the MS Dept. of Health Fingerprinting Unit

You wait for the State to perform a background check using your fingerprints!
